Default front actuator cable replacement?

Was looking at replacing my front 4x4 actuator with the manual cable one. Has anyone tried building there own or did yall buy the kit?

Personally, I'd just buy the kit. The research for lengths and everything is all done for you. Best deal I've seen:

Personally, I would only do it if I was a serious wheeler.... but then again, I'd have a solid axle rig at that point too.
