Default frame question

under my doors on my frame are these tubes bolted to my frame two on the drivers side and two on the passengers side mine are really rusted
what purpose do they serve? and could I remove them without any problems
I don't want them to fall off and possibly hit someone behind me while im driving

do you have a picture? There's typically not anything on the frame in this position. The first thing that comes to mind is steps?

these are 2" steel tubes they don't seem to have a purpose theres never been any steps on the truck they look like some assembly line part or something maybe for moving it down the assemblyline? they just bolt onto the frame with a 1/2 inch bolt

I've never heard of that, weird. If they don't look like they have a purpose they probably don't. You can always remove them and find out

Sounds like it might of had tube steps and someone just cut them off instead of unbolting them.

Yup, ^^^ Some were integrated into the rockers and had a flanged piece bolted to the frame. They slip fitted onto the frame piece.
