Default Found on Engine - What are they?

So while inspecting #4 cylinder wires/boot/etc I found out a couple things... these 2 metal pieces were sitting against the plug wires

I also found the PO or shop used Carquest Brand plug wires and that they don't even securely clip to the coil pack! Sadly this wasn't the cause for #4 misfire.

I believe they're for the AC line connects.

As far as plug wires are concerned.... Motorcraft is the only way to fly. I learned that early on with these things.... I had a set of Bosch that was bad right out of the box. My truck actually has a 96-98 Mustang set on it, they are a tad shorter but definitely work fine.

That's what I'm planning on for sure

Here's my shopping list if you want to share any thing I may have selected on mistake.

That list is great. I will say though that I seem to recall Jbrew having an issue, or knowing of an issue that someone has trying to patch that EVAP hose with fuel line. Maybe it was just a brittle connector, but I recall a conversation on here somewhere about that. In other words, I think you're safer buying it on Amazon for 55 dollars than patching it. But, I am a little more **** about stuff like that (so is Jbrew, LOL).

**** or Asinine ? eerrr both !

Fuel/ fuel vapor, I only use the factory part or dealership there. Pricey but worth it since it's pre-bent and formed properly with the right connector... = Green/fuel vapor.

These hoses shed, can turn your hands black. That doesn't constitute a bad hose. It's normal and can shed for years before compromised.
