Default Fog lights

Hey guy I have a 97 f150 5.4 lariat and I want to hook the fog lights up to the switch I just ordered. My truck did not come with fog lights. My question is if I put the new switch on will power be applied to the fog light wiring on the frame or do I have to still wire it in

You'll have to wire them in. If your truck didn't come with fogs it won't have the relays necessary to run them. Unless ford put them in there for no reason which wouldn't surprise me. My dad's powerstroke didn't come with the block heater option and ford installed it anyway but didn't include the power cord. Good luck!

Some of the 97-98 4x4's came from the factory without installed fog lamps, but had the wiring installed. If you look up under the bumper by the radiator support, you may find the fog lamp wiring. I did on mine, after another member mentioned it. Sure enough it was there. All I had to do was add the factory switch and mount the lamps. Everything worked perfectly. I wish I had looked earlier, but I had no thought that Ford would do this. I understand that it wasn't on the 2wd but Canadian made (2 is the first number of the serial number) 4x4s did. The US side (1 start of serial) I have no clue on. It was nice to find and made the install so easy. Let's hope you have the harnesses.
