fog light wiring

Default fog light wiring

My truck has never had fogs installed. But the wiring for fogs are there. I bought a stock switch with pull out for fogs. Installed it and tryed powering up my fogs i just installed and it dont work. Any ideas on what to do would be nice.


My truck is a 2002 f150 xl sport 2wd

Did you makeshure you have a fuse an a relay installed for them? Does the switch you bought have the fog light emblem on it.

yes im pretty sure the fuses are installed #9 and 27 are the ones i believe not to sure. and ya it has the fog emblem on it

In the box under the hood fuse #9 and realy 206. If thay are there and good . Check power at the plug. And the ground.

the fuse and relay seam to be good i got no real way to check for power right now

If you don't have a multimeter, you can pick one up at Harbor Freight for around $6.

i got around to testing it today i only got .2 volts coming out them

i did getting no more then .1 or .2 volts

How is your lights mounted? Did you have the low beams on and the switch puled out. Also check from the hot wire in the plug to chassie ground.
