Fog Light Issues
Ive got a 98 supercab 4.6...my foglights were working properly and suddenly just decided to stop and i can't figure out why. The little orange light comes on when the switch is pulled, I've checked ALL of the fuses and the sockets and bulbs are good...not sure what else to look for or check
Anyone else ever have an issue like this or have any advise on what i should look at ?

both lights are not likely to go out together I hope this helps.so discard bulbs and sockets, you checked fuses so that tells me is either a relay that control those lights or coul be the switch itself, relays that are identical you can swap them and then try to turn the lights, if not, then pull out the switch and do a continuity test with a voltimeter, believe me is not that hard.i hope this helps a little.
OK, maybe this will shed some light, maybe it wont....There is a yellow wire with a female blade connector on the end of it hanging down behind my parking brake pedal....does this need connected somewhere for the fog lights?
Wondering if the yellow wire is suppose to be connected somewhere...maybe it was diconnected when I replaced the my heater core.
If not, any thoughts on "jumping" my fog lights to just come on when either my low beams or parking lights are switched on. Anyone do that? How hard is it to do?

I can't really tell you what function does the yellow wire.
is it a switch for everything?... meaning the switch controls the headlights and the foglights as well?
like i said if you don't remove the switch you won't find out if it's good or bad.
ground wire going to fog lights could be broken or bad grounded.

Mine does the same thing after I installed a set of Xentec HID ballast and bulbs into the stock housings. At first, the pass side went out. After a few mins of playing with them trying to get them to come on, then the drivers side went out. Now nothing from either side, and all my fuses are good as well WTF! To top it all off, after $185 in all brand new brakes, my starter goes out yesterday!
