Default FNG looking for info and help

First of all the truck is a 98 extended cab shortbed 2wd 5.4 auto.
It's been abused

My issues are,
Oil disappears no smoke no leaks engine spotless
Ticks like a Chinese clock especially at start up
8mpg highway checked the m.I.l. codes with my laptop. It always says egr leak MASSIVE but I can't find any leaks.

Goals for the truck are find the cause of the vanishing oil, inch or so lowering. New exhaust this one is rusted off just behind the glasspacks that were very crappily welded on, lightning grill, billet grills, wheels, and some new headlights. It's sad when the park lights on my 2011 malibu are brighter than these headlights.

Any suggestions from you guys would be great.

Are you running synthetic oil? You will not see any smoke if this is the case

Nope I run dino oil in this, it uses about a quart of oil every 1000 miles.

From the 1000s of Google answers the disappearing oil is the Pcv valve. I looked in the throttle body and its coming off to be cleaned and a catch can installed.
I have new sparkplugs coming tomorrow.

Lightning grill and headlights and a new bumper valance soon

Debating on whether to level it up. Or level it down? And it needs new wheels and tires. The stock wheels are ugly as **** and the tires are constantly going flat and look half flat aired all the way up.

New steering wheel and radio the steering wheel is falling apart and the radio is the factory cassette.
