Default Flip down tvs

I was thinking about putting two flip down tvs in the square holes in the ceiling. Does anyone have any monitors in their trucks. Or any recommendations? I'd like one wit an HDMI

If you want a DVD factory style player, the ones out of the Explorer's are about the most direct fit I've found. They are not HDMI though. They plug right into the rear of most better Ford radio heads, but usually that port isn't turned on from the factory. I used an Escape navigation radio and attached the DVD player to it. It worked perfectly. I switched out my Escape head and replaced it with an Android unit this weekend. It was a bit complicated getting the DVD unit to function, but after switching 2 wires, it came to life. It is the way the Android head was configured, not the Ford DVD unit. Since I didn't have a sunroof, the mounting parts were actually there in the roof to mount to. At least they were in the right places to mount the tabs, so I call that a win win. Just some thought for you.

I only tried one movie I had in and it worked perfectly. That was the DVD head, I'm talking about. The android head is perfect. I made many changes on the bench before installing it. It was 4.2.2 and now is 5.0. I like the smaller icons and actual quicker screen changing. With the added hubs, I'm able to watch MP4 or AVI's without any problems. I also put 500GB of memory on flashdrives, thru the hub unit. The Android head is the best unit I've found for my rigs. I put one into my 07 Mustang and removed the factory navigation set up I installed 3 years ago. I used the same head in both vehicles, and really enjoy the ease of use and the fact that my phone runs the system for internet searching etc. It was a win win deal for me.

The android units are defiantly worth it. As akdoggie said, you can put pretty much any video format on a flash drive and it'll play. Even if the video format isn't supported you can download most video codecs from the play store.

I plan on buying one for my mazda asap.

Edit: They also have rca outputs so you could buy some cheap monitors to mount to the headrest for other viewers.

Zebracakes: There is an app that allows the video to play in the rear with the Android head, and not show on the main screen. I haven't downloaded it yet, but did run across it and I believe it was free. Very cool, if you ask me.

I put a Mass card reader and hub into my main hub as a card reader of all types. Very inexpensive but very helpful. It even reads TF cards without the large SD holder or the flash drive type TF holder. You do need a micro USB to USB adapter, but for 1.19 on eBay, not an expensive add on. Don't forget, you can use an EBauer or Navigator wheel with the Android if they are equip with steering wheel controls. I have a Navigator wheel I'm adding this week after the rain ends.
