Default Fleet side to Stepside box swap

Hey all,
So my 00 XL 4x4 has what appears to be typical box rot. I live in Canada, its gonna happen. At work, I have lots of trucks to harvest parts from so all repairs can be customized as well.

I have a stepside 01 waiting for me to pillage it and I am wondering if anyone here has done a fleet to step swap and, if so, what problems and other mods are involved?

Should be a direct swap. If the truck is a short bed.

Yeah, both are short box. I dont wanna start messing with length, pretty sure thatd mean extending/chopping my frame... I figured it was pretty straight forward, just wanted to confirm im not missing something major.

No it's a straight up swap. Even the tail light harnesses are the same
