I got a 03 F150 with the 4.6 windsor motor in it. I really need some help figuring this truck out. So the truck starts up idles fine while in park. No check engine or any other warning light on. I drive it down the road and it begins to hesitate and simultaneously the theft light flashes on the dash the same time the truck hesitates. I've read a lot of posts about the PATs system and from what I gather it cannot be the theft system malfunctioning because the truck is running.
What I have tried is disconnecting the battery, removing the PCM fuse, tried two different keys, battery has full charge.
Prior to this the truck had the insufficient EGR flow code and I cleaned out the EGR ports in the throttle body and since the check engine light has gone off.
I have no idea what is happening here and would appreciate any help. Frustrated

I'd still try to throw the relay on #304 being it coats only 12.99

#304, which one is that? Right now I'll try almost anything. Thanks for helping out.

Did the relay fix your problem ? Mine started doing this today also

It seems as the weAther begins to turn they tend to fail.

No didn't work. But now I have a code for cylinder 4 misfire. So I gotta look into that, not sure if that could be the cause of the problem?
