Fixed power lock!
After dealing with a non-operative passenger side door-lock since I bought my truck I decided I was going to fix it. I went to the junkyard and picked up two lock-actuators out of a '97 and '98 for $5.40, never any newer trucks there. When I picked them up I didn't know that the pre '99 are different from 99-, and didn't realize that until I tried putting it in.
Well, I had made my mind up that I was going to fix it, so I tried pulling out the lock actuator in my truck, breaking it even more than it was on the way out. I pulled it apart to see if I could fix it, and gave up. then I decided to mount the older style one instead. I had to drill one hole in the door and unwind some of the electrical tape on the door wiring harness, and after some careful placement, I got it working just fine!
I took some pics to show what I did.
