Default fire F250

i am thinking about buying a 2003 F250. it had an engine fire. motor and cab are burnt. it is straight truck, 4x4, 7.3 diesel. is it worth buying for 1000$ and what will have to be replaced. will it run with new belts, hoses, wiring harness, comp.. should everything mechanical still be good with new fluids and grease?

what caused the fire?

It sounds like a safe bet to me for 1k, as the driveline parts alone are worth that.

Is the interior done for?

I agree, if the transmission is in good condition, it alone would be worth the $1000.

How much ws burned? If it melted the belts and hoses, what about seals and gaskets on the engine and trans? Brake hoses and seals? Power steering hoses and seals. There are 2005 Diesels for sale here in good shape for under 20k.
