What's the deal with referring to tire size by width only?
Especially when it seems the objective of most of those posts is to figure out the height

Cause most people on here have the same size tires. 265,285,305,315s and we all know what we are talking about.

Because when referring to a 17" wheel sized tire the most common "and in some cases the only option" is a 70 series tire.

For instance a 265/70/17, 285/70/17,315/70/17
Are the most common and popular sizes.
