I use to have an 01 in just about the same condition. Expect I had to paint the entire truck. I'm thinking just buy a new bed and then a rocker job. I really want another 10th gen but I'm trying to avoid payments

Mannn, keep looking. How much can you afford ? I mean, another grand should net you one a lot nicer. 2500 is too much. That guy would be laughing all the way to the bank if he got that much for it....No way lol.

I mean I'm gonna try and work him for sure. But I'm only allowing myself to spend $3000. Everything in my area is high mileage, expensive, and rusty. I just love these trucks to much lol

2500 sounds nice for the mileage, but if the bed is that bad, I can only imagine what else is. I had a '99 F-350 that was rusted pretty bad and I thought just get some new rockers and a new bed and I'll be good to go. WRONG. When someone had to work on that truck, it costed twice as much because they had to cut through the rust on all the bolts lol. I think even in the 2500 range you can find something better. It may have more mileage but rust is a killer.

OP, I don't know where your from or what trucks are going for in your area but, around here, that's a $1200 truck all day long. I would keep looking IMO.

I appreciate the input guys. He has sent me pictures of the undercarriage and it's not as bad as most trucks I have looked at. I'm from WV and trucks are expensive. I'm just in a rough spot. I really want a 97-03

Wow that's strange, I'm in southern Ohio and these trucks can be had for cheap in much better shape. You need to shop around.
