I have a 97 F150 with the premium sound package and it has the factory amp. I'm trying to put in a new stereo without bypassing the factory amp if I can. The guy I bought it from cut all the wires behind the radio and rigged them back up because he couldn't figure out what each wire went to. I have searched and can't seem to find anyone with the pinout to the factory amp. All the pinouts I have found are for the factory sound system without the amp that comes with the premium package. I'm trying to use the plug that came with the new radio but am unsure if I can do it this way because the amp might not even turn on. If I can't do it this way then I can resolder the original plug back on and purchase an adapter to work with my new radio. Can anyone point me in the right direction please? Thanks!

 

Take it from me. New stereo + factory amp = horrible, distorted sound.
