Default f150 help

so this is my 2002 f150 5.4l v8 and it has a small tick. i dont quite know what it is? i know i have an exhaust leak but way in the back by the muffler. is it my spark plugs? injectors? idk....also SOMETIMES when i start it the engine shakes for 1 sec then starts? i think im just not holding the key long enough though. any help would be appreciated! this truck is my baby But other than all that the truck runs amazing its just i get worried over everything

Also the engine oil has just been replaced with not even 100 mile but its not synthetic?? AND this has the GOTTS mod if that matters

limk to my vid to show you!

Could be the bearings in the alternator. (not really serious at this stage)
Could be a small exhaust manifold leak. (a lot of cars and trucks have them)
Could be a spark plug leaking. ( that might indicate the plug is going to blow out but I don't think it's the plug. If it does blow out, just get it fixed with one of those kits made for that).
Could be a high voltage leak ticking. Maybe one of the cops is not pushed down all the way on the plug.
Based on what I hear I don't hear anything that is going to blow your engine or leave you on the side of the road. It will either get worse or go away (sometimes alternator bearing noise comes and goes). My truck developed a strange ticking sound, turned out to be the AC compressor clutch bearing, it was new, and it went away on its own. Had me worried a little at first, but the truck ran fine so I said "screw it".
The clunk thing - seriously? Nothing is going to fall off the truck.
If you are worried, just check all the bolts you see under the truck to make sure everything is tight.
If that was my truck (nice truck by the way) I would just drive it and enjoy it, and not worry about those things.
Handle it if it happens. Note I said "if".
By the way, the engine sounds like it is running good and smooth.
Pure synthetic? Great stuff, if the noise is coming from the upper cylinders, it could fix the problem. That stuff is amazing at lubrication and cleaning.

Dude, you're worrying too much. Just have fun.
Don't turn into a truckocondriac.

The cop is just like a regular spark plug wire except it has a 7mm bolt that holds it down. Just push down on the cop to make sure it is snug. If it is loose, it will click and be properly set.
Like I said, the engine is running so smooth and the noise is so soft, I don't think the tic is much of anything.
When you change the oil ( 3000 miles or so-no need to dump it now), go full synthetic, and if the tick is inside the engine, it will probably go away.

I would would defiantly change plugs first. I have heard that when the spark plugs starts to back out,it causes a ticking sound. Before they blow out it strips the threads in heads. If it is the plugs ,doing this will be a blessing. Just my opinion. By the way your manual will tell you to torque spark plugs them at 14-15 ft lbs, But from what I read on this link ,they are safer torqued at 28 ft lbs

Good Luck
