Default Extra hp under the hood

I have a 2003 F-150 XLT w/ 4.6 V8. I am purchasing a cold air induction kit soon. I was also thinking about buying a V8 helix throttle body spacer. The vendor I am considering states that I can add up to 22hp plus better gas mileage. Does anyone know if this is correct or am I spending money needlessly on a product that will not deliver. Not concerned about the vendor justy the theory behind the spacer adding hp... Thanks.

From everything I've read and heard from people who've purchased them, the spacer is worthless and usually causes a whistling noise.

How bout trying one of these out. Hear they work wonders in the power dept.
