expy-scab swap
I have a scrap 03 expy at my disposal and Im wondering what might be desireable off it for my scab.
I have a 2000 lariat scab with the tanish color leather interior. The truck is mostly stock except for pulling the rear blocks out and de cranking the t-bars so my wife with fibre mialsia (no clue if I even came close on the spelling) can get in and out easier.
I have a tear in my drivers seat, no worky power mirrors, and my front diff wont lock up even though it is getting good vacuum. I plan on stealing as much as I can off that thing, but dont have any details on what model it is. I know I want the longer console that goes to the dash if it matches ok, as well as a non torn seat, but I'll have to swap both so the lariat stitching matches (both be gone at that point) but I dont want the front and back to not match so color is important. I'm wondering about the sway bars to get rid of some of the body roll. Curious if the gear ratios will be the same or not... same with wheels. As the deal stands, anything I can swap in the parking lot is mine, but I have to leave my stocker for weight. I'm looking to keep this as a comfy daily that will haul the stuff I get into hauling (mostly horses) Anyone know some subtle differences that I might want to look for and steal for myself instead of the scrap yard?
and since none of you know me, I can literally rip these trucks to individual bolts and put them back together in better shape than before.... just not familiar with the specifics of these years of these trucks.
The chev I just sold's build thread for reference to my mechanical knowledge
