Default Exhaust systems

I have a 02 4.6l and I'm looking to redo my exhaust but can't decide on piping. I'm doing headers and was thinking of doing a h pipe with 2.25 inch piping and 3 1/2 inch tips. I want a little back pressure so I have less problems but would that be the best setup sound/performance wise?

Are you straight piping it? I did the exhaust on my buddies 4.6 and we did shorty headers, and true dual 3inch pipe all the way back. It's loud, like real loud when you step on it. I have the same setup on my 5.4 but its 3inch duals from the manifolds back and it's not nearly as loud as his.

Ya I'm looking for long tubes and I read a lot of places that an x/h pipe gives a lot more torque and hp then a straight pipe
