Default exhaust question

I've been experimenting with my exhaust lately and I like the sound without a muffler on it. My question is, will it hurt my engine if I run it without a muffler?

Not my cup of tea to run no muffler, but it will be fine to run as long as there is enough pipe to maintain the scavenging effect. For more info on exhaust operation:

As long as you keep your cats on it, it will be fine.

I agree. There are a few around here that are straight piped, and I think they simply sound like a truck with a bad exhaust.
It's your truck, so it's your choice though.
