Default Exhaust question

Ok I got a 99 f150 v8 4.6l my exhaust dumps out at the Y pipe and the mounting bracket is broke and makes a lot of vibration and is very annoying what will happen if I delete the Y pipe and dump the exhaust after the cats will it be louder then where it is now since it will be dual instead of single I don't have a way to weld so I can't really repair or add pipe

If your keeping all 4 cats, - you'll loose a little low end, but it won't be bad.

I believe the worst that will happen is your exhaust will end up in the cab. Two big vents in the back panel of the cab. You'll gag and die at the red light.

It's a single cab truck so the fumes should not be that bad right?
