Default Exhaust modification

I am looking to get my exhaust to be a little louder. Before the pipes come together from the manifolds, on each side there is what it looks like 2 catylitic converters. Just double checking are these both cats or is one of them a resonator? I want to get one on each side cut off. Will a muffler shop do that or not? And also has anyone done this? Does it throw a code because of the O2 sensor?

It has potential of throwing codes, there is a write up somewhere on this issue, I believe what you need are two spark plug non foulers. you can find them at your local auto parts store. I see you already have a flow master. Do you know what series it is?

I had them both removed and it does throw a code I can't remember what one... I took them off because they were rattling but after they cut em out they had to put a resonator in because it was rattling even worse at certain RPMs

Both of them are converters. However, you can remove the rear ones and usually not get a code if the fronts are still up to snuff. If you do get a cat insufficiency code you can do the Gotts O2 mod. Exhaust shops get very touchy about doing anything to the cats. Call around and find a shop that knows what they're doing.

I have the super 44 muffler. I will probably get a y pipe from the cats going to my muffler. Then cut the cats off myself. I have a lift to put the truck on so I can do this myself. Looks like I will have to check into the gotts mod as well. I can't stand when I throw codes because of stupid stuff like the exhaust.
