I know you said you wanted other suggestions but i've got an '03 4.6 with a cherry bomb extreme and i love it. Had it for...atleast 3 years now and am still getting compliments around town. Still have all 4 cats and i upgraded from 4" to 5" tips maybe 2 years ago. Anyway, i think you'd be really pleased with the extreme, sounds better and in some cases louder than some other guys trucks that i know that have whats supposed to be a "better" or "louder" exhaust

Thanx alot for your input. i was thinking about taking off my rear cats and still putting on the cherry bomb extreme. my only worry is is that i dont want it to pop and cackle like crazy. would you recomend taking the rear cats off or just leaving all 4 cats on? i checked out your truck and if i remember right you have si/do 45'd out the back?

the bends of the pipe make it crackle more than anything. i had the same set up i have now only dumped instead of 45ed out the back and she crackles like a son of a bitch now whereas before she barely did. i have true duals no cats and cherrybomb glasspacks

my new ones are in my sig. but you cant notice the crackle as much in the truck as you do out of it

I don't think it would have much of a pop even if you take off the back cats as long as you put the cherry bomb on it. Thats the set up i've wanted to have for forever i just don't wanna pay the money to have the cats took off. I, like you, don't really want much crackle and pop. I like it some of the time, but not everyday all day. Thats just me though...

ha sorry man. i was trying to showing that the pipe causes crackle more than anything by showing my setup dumped and run out the corners.

to the OP also adding a chambered muffler should reduce crackle too post up some vids of it when u do it. id go magnaflow personally because i hate flowmaster. the cherrybomb extreme sounded decent on the bronco i was gonna buy tho

i kinda figured it wouldnt crackle as much. but alot of people i know say just put a flo 40 or a 44. personally i think flowmaster is over rated and people are just paying for the name. i think i am just going to get the cherry bomb extreme and see how it sounds with all the cats on and if its not loud enough for me then i can take the rear cats off.

Thats a good idea. I don't like flowmasters either. Not knocking them, but i've just never been impressed. Cherry Bomb however, always sounds good, especially the extreme
