Default What I should have done...

Was to cut the rubber hose off the green connector and add my own vacuum line. No it would not have been pre-formed like the stock hose but it would have kept 50 bucks in my pocket...

My hose was coming apart as well; you touch it and rubber dust would fall onto the engine and get on my hands...But in hindsight, the regular vacuum hose would work as long as the line fits tight on the green fitting and the green fitting fits tight on the evap valve...

You should be able to get the resistor connector thru the parts store or winzer products. Should be about $12-17. Winzer part number 722.2043. Should be a 4 pin connector. OEM number 1U2Z-14S411-NA. Regular vacuum hose should be ok to use as long as it is good vacuum hose, not the cheap thin wall stuff. Thin stuff won't handle the vapors too long!
