engine will not move
Your clutch PULLEY has failed. The bearing seal probably failed and dirt and water got in their causing the bearings to wear (that was the noise you were hearing but chose to ignore) and some bearings eventually fell out causing the whole bearing structure to collapse. The collapsed bearing seized the pulley which locked the belt which locked the engine up tighter than a drum.
Depending on the amount of heat damage incurred, there's a fair chance that a pulley and clutch hub is all you need. I've had several of my Fords suffer this failure and only one eventually required a compressor replacement.
YMMV.
