Cracked or rotted Coil boots can cause short arching.

Right, - and you can actually see the carbon trails inside the boots as evidence. These can be bad enough to see a little lifting/cracking outside the boots. Over time, it drys up the silicon properties which therefore compromises moisture protection. Without the silicon, they ain't sh...

This is why you use non conductive dielectric grease liberally in the plug boots...from top to bottom. That way your 'COP system' coils won't puke out so quick and last as long as the 'Coil Pac' systems do.

I swapped the coils in question onto different cylinders to see if the miss fire would follow the coils which it didnt. After reseting the codes it took a little while for the light to come back on but when it did still was miss firing on 2 and 6 also said 6 was misfiring on startup and still the O2 sensors on both sides. I honestly have no idea where to go from here.

Again all the coils and plugs have been tested and have no problems (this includes the boots and springs)
