So, I have a 97 F150, 4.2, motors junk, etc, My grandpa totaled out his 2001 F150 with a 4.2, motor still starts and runs fine. Can I take this motor out and drop it in my 97?

I'm debating if I want to do that, or replace the drivers side wheel, and everything behind it (if the frame isn't damaged) and take my body parts and swap them on his truck, although he has a four door SCAB, so my drivers door probably wont fit?

I was just curious, because all the parts that are junk on his truck are fine on mine, trying to decide if its easier to swap body parts and suspension, or swap motors,

Both trucks are identical in the XL package, RWD, 4.2, he just has the different front end. but than again, idk if his is programmed and wired differently..

If i had pics id attach, but to get the picture, his drivers side wheel is junk, folded back and under, couldnt see much because of the muddy driveway.
