HOw hard would it be to change a knocking 03 5.4 to a strong 98 4.6?

Sorry but that is a stupid idea. Why make it harder on yourself to make the 4.6 work with everything else? Just rebuild the 5.4 or get a used one.

Only reason I ask is because I have a 4.6 that's ready to go
