i checked the inertia reset breaker behind the passenger kick panel, its not tripped, turned the key on and do not hear the fuel pump working, did this several times. I depressed the schrader valve on the fuel rail and there was nothing, no spray of fuel, no hissing, nothing, left the key on went under the truck smacked the tank repeatedly, nothing , fuel pump wont run. Now I guessing to look for a fuse or something that may have caused the pump to stop? OK, fuses are good, now I'll see if power is going to the fuel pump, and look to see how hard it is to replace that fuel pump. Have you ever replaced one in these trucks, what am I looking for?

Based off what I've read, I'm thinking crank sensor as well. Follow Brew's procedure, line for line and you'll get it diagnosed. If it should turn out to be the crank sensor, here's a decent "how-to".

Update, I removed the boot to the throttle body, wedged open the butterfly and squirted some gas into the TB with a syringe, ran around and cranked it, it started and ran for about 5 seconds, so it has to be the fuel pump. Now I need to research on how to replace the fuel pump on a 2001 supercrew.
Update #2, after watching some videos, I need to check the "Fuel pump driver module", under the spare tire to see if that is the problem.

Doing great! Yes, you determined it's not the crank or cam sensors. You don't have a driver module above the rear axle in that truck. Those came later, -04 plus models.
Check the FP relay real quick, - KOEO (key on engine off) at the ignition, leave it on "run". Go back to the engines PDB under the hood (fuse box). Feel the relay with your hand. If it's hot, it's bad. I believe you can swap relays in your model (some you can/some not, Ford changed things around a lot per model year), if so swap with the Trailer Tow relay real quick. Relay's don't go out that much, but they can. Here's and 02 set-up, yours might be the same, -

Well been doing some research on fuel pump replacement and found out that the pump is located under the rear of the cab on the 2001 supercrew, so the tank has to be dropped for removal. I think removing the bed might make it easier to drop the fuel tank? I'm working alone, its snowing, and the truck is outside on the driveway, so I'm researching thoroughly about removal techniques before attacking this problem.

You'll need 4 big guys to lift the bed off. If your tank is empty dropping the tank can be done with one guy. Use OEM parts unless you want to make a habit of doing it.

Well the truck is repaired, I ended up changing the fuel pump and it was no small task. After viewing many videos, I could not find one that showed the fuel pump replacement on a 2001 supercrew. I ended up removing the bed myself using a harbor freight cherry picker to four pads in the bed corners. After lowering the gas tank slightly on motorcycle tiedowns, this allowed me to disconnect the gas filler neck from the hoses, a vent line from the rear axle to the underside of the bed, the main wiring harness and the two license plate bulbs. Access to all the fittings on the tank were easy now, and I was able to see the fuel line connections, so I did not damage any electrical or vent lines . I was able to do the job myself, on my driveway, with help from the people on this forum, thank you.

Regardless, you got it done, congrats!

Why did you remove the bed lol ? That's the absolute most difficult way to do a FP. It's quick and easy dumping the fuel, - these tanks have a huge vent hole at the back, you don't need to empty it completely. The tanks drop down quickly in two stages. Folks lift the bed to do this because they think it's cool or something..iduno.. Take 3 times as long and a bit of a PITA. Seriously, a pump R&R is a simple procedure as long as you have a can of WD40 working with yuh. Otherwise you'll fight and break everything lol. I take it you didn't invest in a service manual DVD on that e bay site yet...that would of saved yuh some cash and time. Just sayin...what possessed you to lift the bed?
Regardless, you got it done, congrats!
