Default Engine Run Lock

I'm am trying to figure out how I could install a switch or button that I could engage that allows my truck to continue to run even after I pull the keys out of the ignition and lock the doors..
Any info helps. Thank You

Second that, I never understood the purpose.

But, I think its called an Idle Down Mode or something along those lines. Some aftermarket keyless entry and remote start systems have the option.

I use a remote srarter on mine. Works great and anti-theft works with it.

That is the first question everyone asks, Why? I am a news stringer. So I have 7 radios/scanners that are in my truck. Also on some scenes I park with my strobes lights and all my other warning lights.

That's a lot better of a reason than the "the double park at a convenience store" this guy uses as an example:

Its an older article I found the other day, but the unit seems to have the features your're looking for. Maybe a good place to start.
