Engine Replacement

My brother and I are replacing it ourselves this summer as a "project vehicle". I figure if we take our time and take tons of notes & pictures we can get it done efficiently. I'd also like to replace everything else such as the radiator, ps pump, etc. Maybe put some e-fans in there too.

I was also wondering if I should replace the intake manifold while it's out? I've heard there prone to crack on higher mileage engines. If so, what's a good quality brand to buy one from? Thanks everyone for your advice

My bigger wrench turning lessoned yearly going into the late nineties....but the 3-4 engines (all V 8's) that I have had replaced since my 2002, the shops have never disconnected the A/C systems..
