Default Engine Rebuilders

Hey everybody, I was looking to get my engine rebuilt (2003 f150 4.6l V8 Romeo) and I found a place in Dallas called Engine Rebuilders that said they could rebuild my engine for $1600(parts and installation). Is this price to good to be true? does anybody know anything about this place? I looked up reviews on yahoo, google, but I dont trust 'em.
The only problem that I am trying to get fixed is that my dang spark plug blew out and the helicoil didn't hold either. So I guess I need a new head. Any advice is highly appreciated.

Sounds too good to be true man, the mastertechs at my work say that replacing the timing chain alone is 2000 in labor.... I would just be worried about the quality of parts they are using, 1600 would sound right to me if they were just doing the rebuild, not the pulling/installation of the motor as well... Just ask alot of questions! Let me know how it goes, i need a rebuild for my 5.4!

Used to be a place in Austin that would buy your old motor off of you and then sell you a rebuilt one. While your having it rebuilt, might as well take the opportunity for an over bore. Don't see many of those going down the road anymore.

Can you overbore these motors? I would think youd have to sleeve them and be done with it, i've never seen an overbored 4.6 or 5.4, although it would be interesting!

You don't see anything overbored anymore. It may have something to do with the fact most blocks are aluminum. Most the time you hear of guys just stroking the engines (seen a 6.4 Powerstroke stroked backed to 7.3 specs). I would think you could still do it to an extent. I looked into a stroke and bore on my 4.2 that would've put it into the 5.2 range. Be interesting to know if you can still do that to engines.
