Engine Mount Rubbing
Hello; this is my first engine replacement on a triton. 1999 f150 5.4L PI auto 4r70w
I'm moving some parts to the new engine and noticed the engine mount had a groove worn in it that looks like half a washer. It uses three bolts to hold it to the block; on the side that has one bolt there is a boss sticking out of the block for another bolt. (No hole in the engine mount as it is close to the bend in the mount.) That is where the block has worn into the engine mount some. The wear spot is shiny as if it would still be rubbing; (not enough clearance yet). There was a strange metal on metal squeak when starting and when taking off from a stop forward or reverse. What do I do to stop the engine mount from rubbing?
