Default Electrical problem...

Hi, I just recently bought a 1999 F150 (with a 4.6) from a salvage yard. It had some light front end damage that my dad and I fixed and we're ready to get it back on the road (it runs GREAT!)... But we're having some electrical trouble and I'm not sure if it's a combination of more than one problem, or just one big one.

To start off, the factory stereo only works when the key is turned backwards (accessories), but doesn't work when the key is turned forward (ignition). The power windows don't work when the key is in either position. So far I've tried swaping the factory stereo for another (it did the same thing), I've checked all of the fuses (their good), and I've changed the iginition switch, the problems still remain.

The other part of this is that, since the truck has been salvaged, it must pass a brake and light inspection. It failed, because the ABS light does not work. Put a new bulb in (checked to make sure it was good before it was installed) and again, checked the fuses and everything is good (I should also mention that the "service engine soon" light doesn't work either), still can't get those lights to come on.

Anyway, I'm not a real mechanic and I'm not sure what to do next. I was hoping someone here might have some ideas, any help would be greatly appreciated.
