Question electrical nightmare!!

Alright so one day after work i jump in my truck to go home and go to roll down my windows as it was hot inside, to my surprize they didnt go down. than when i went to put my truck in drive the shifter would not unlock even tho the truck is running. so by than I knew there was a problem. tried my wind shield wipers they 2 did not work. nore does my dome lights or cargo. i managed to find a way to move the blocker that prevented me from putting it in gear and than found out my 4x4 switch dont work either. i went to my mechanic and he followed the wireing diagram to the ignition switch in my stearing collum.

Any body with more info or is a mechanic please this is bad timing as i was just about to put a lift ad 35s on her.

Thanks Ryan

start looking at you grounds. I would start at the drivers kick panel.

Could be a BCM body control module. It would cover the components you've mentioned. It is located in the drivers kick panel. When our trucks were made the robot skipped a bit with the body adhesive, thus creating a water leak. The water leaks in from the windshield and finds its way down to the BCM.

I work at a Ford dealership as a light duty technician, after I got my truck I was asking the master electrical tech what he knew of as far as problems with it. He mentioned the lapse in adhesive. I haven't had any problems with it... yet.

Try starting your truck in neutral then shifting to drive to get it to move. How's your radio, and other "creature comfort" functions?
