I purchased a 2000 F150 with "a couple of problems", but it was quite cheap.

It seems to be missing some components. I'm pretty sure some fuses and relays are missing which is causing major problems trying to get it running.

Photo attached show the 2 boxes. Inside box seems to be missing a relay which is connected to the code reader and I cannot pull up anything.




Under the hood, a whole row of relays are gone, one of which is the fuel pump. On the big relays, there is no amp size/designation given in the factory book. I could use help there too. The row missing shows all clean spots so I'm sure something was in there and recently pulled out.

 

I found a complete diagram on the net and went over it one by one. I found some misplaced and some missing all together. Tomorrow I'll get some parts ordered and see what I end up with after they are installed. Maybe then I can get the code reader to function and see if it points to the starting problem.

It could be the computer and the previous owner didn't know what he was doing and was just pulling and moving things???? And, made it worse too!!!

No I did not. It will not start.

It didn't matter as the price was several thousand below book. The exterior is near perfect and the leather interior is very good. I couldn't find anything as nice and at this price I could replace the engine/trans and still be way ahead.

After I do get it running and drive it I'll evaluate it as to what to do next if anything. I bought it as just a local DD.
