Ever since I zip tied the wiring harness to the bracket, I have not had it stall.
The truck has been dropped off to get the engine rebuilt. no Lincoln block swap for me I guess.
Will be going over all front end, steering and brakes etc etc when its in the shop.
It also was leaking water into the passenger cab from the channel on top on the passenger side. I think a bit of cleaning and sealant will get it fixed up good.
The steering box anchor bolt got ripped out of the left side frame. Its getting a welded in washer as well.
Anything else to look for when the motor is out ?

This is getting its engine rebuilt and will have the inserts put in in the spark plugs holes so I can actually change them. I changed plugs in 2001 with 90K on it. Then I found out about those plugs flying out of the chamber and I have never changed plugs since. Its has over 290K now. 200K in 18 yrs on 1 set of plugs. Definitely looking forward to having plugs swapped out every few yrs now.

Way back in about 99 I had this conversation with this old friend of mine - who happened to be a fantastic motorcycle mechanic only with Suzuki air oil cooled bikes, and a fantastic car mechanic only with VW and Porsche boxer engines - there was preceeding part I am omitting here -
Me: Car mechanics make the worst motorcycle mechanics.
He: I don't know about that, but motorcycle mechanics make the worst car mechanics.
I learnt further a couple years ago that aircraft mechanics don't make very good car or motorcycle or even bicycle mechanics.
Anyway the motor is out and I got pis - Will try to post em to this thread shortly.

Ok time to update this thread. My mechanic (not the engine guy, the general mech) found a bad ground at the big cable that bolts to firewall. He fixed that by cleaning and bolting on tight. Problem 1 solved.
Problem 2 was the speed sensor problem throwing engine light - he swapped that but the light is still on.
The transmission bucking seems to be gone with new tranny fluid and a little tube of some additive.
