Default Electrical?

Weirdest thing is going on with my 03fx4. Today my left turn signal was acting like I blew a bulb but the arrow on my dash was not flashing rapidly but you could hear the relay clicking. I moved the steering wheel up ( my wife is 4'10 so it is at knee buster highth) and it started working fine. My question is am I pinching a wire or is it just a warning sigh that I need to replace bulbs. Mind you as this was happening my right turn was working fine. A little confused here

Your bulbs won't give you a warning. What you describe is either a MFS (Multi Function Switch) aka Turn Signal Switch or as you said, a pinched wire. The MFS has contacts that eventually seperate from the body. Changing the angle of the column may have repositioned them to a point where they work. If it is the MFS, eventually that position will fail too...

Most likely the connector on the back of the turn signal switch has a broken connector. The hardshell for the connector is the problem. When tilting the column all the way down the harness is pulled on and will allow the wire to come loose from the connector. Pull the trim off to verify. Can get just the hardshell from any ford dealer. Need the numbers off your existing hardshell. Look very close, it's there. Less than $20 bucks for sure. Need a pick and start swapping the wires from the old hardshell to the new one, one at a time! Leave it tilted up 'til fixed!

Didn't think the bulbs would was just trying to pin-point the issue. That was like asking if they needed fluid... Lol
