EGR Valve Problem!! Help Needed
Hi All,
I've got a 98 F150 4.6. Had check engine light come on...read EGR insufficient. Took off throttle body.....cleaned the gumed up ports...problem fixed.
Six months later....light comes on again...take off throttle body and it's clean still. Start to realize that it may be the valve or DPFE sensor or IAC sensor. Two weeks later....car stalls when coming to a stop. Replace all three parts....EGR valve, DPFE, and IAC. Problem fixed and immediately runs fine.
One month later...now...car stalls when coming to a stop. Doing the exact same thing as before with new parts. I'm stooped. Are my new parts faulty (DPFE), is my valve sticking open, are my vacuum hoses not connected. Haven't looked under the hood yet, but will tomorrow. Can anyone give me some suggestions or info on what might be the problem. THanks folks.
