Check engine light came on my 97 4.6 ford 150, pulls up egr valve, does not run rough, is it hard to do yourself, or should it be taken to the shop? I have heard it might be just a vacum line problem to carbon build up, anyone have this problem before?

 

Very easy...go to your local auto parts store and get your self an EGR valve...and pick up a chiltons or Haynes manual for your year truck...the book will show you all the vac lines and the whole EGR system...its most likely the valve.
