egr throwing code
hey guys, my 2001 4.6 is throwing an "insufficiant egr flow" code, and i was wondering if this would be caused by a faulty egr valve or a clogged vacuum line.. id post the code but my buddy cleared it before i could write it down..
thanks for any help!!
thanks for any help!!
EGR tube or pressure transducer is usually the culprit, the pressure transducer is the metal or plastic rectangle on drivers side, with rubber lines from egr tube, about the size of a credit card.
Nice thanks for the info.. i had the valve pressure checked and they said it was good. Is there any way to clean the transducer of debris, or just get a replacement?
if you have the metal one chances r it is oxidized and corrorded on the inside allowing it to not measure right, replacement is the only option, the revised ones are plastic, and resist corrosion much better...aftermarket ones work decent but their voltage signals are not as accurate as a factory replacement.
