I have had this problem on two different trucks. Both times it was the passage in the elbow that is between the throttle body and the intake manifold. I had to take that elbow off the truck and clean it. It was plugged solid. After tha no more egr code.

 

So, had a live system diagnostic done on it today, it turns out that the PCM needs re-flashed. Go figure! But I really appreciate All of the input and advice that i've gotten. Thanks guys!
