This is insulting, did you erase the codes? I ask that only because I have been launching my boat at this same ramp for 25 years, today I forgot to disconnect the winch strap. Start over with your diognosis, don't forget the basics.

On these motors it's usually the ports between the intake and EGR valve in the plenum the throttle body is bolted to. Pull the throttle body and just behind it on the drivers side there are two probably 3/8" ports that will most likely be solid with carbon all the way through to the EGR valve. Pull the EGR valve off and remove the plenum so you can soak the carbon with CRC Gum Cutter and chip away the carbon till you get it all cleared out. If those are clear, use a different vacuum line that has vacuum at idle and attach it to the EGR valve and see if the motor boggs down, if it does replace the DPFE, if it doesn't replace the valve, but to be honest I've never replaced an EGR valve, it's always clogged or the DPFE.

The gas cap has absolutely nothing to do with EGR, whoever posted that is talking about a large EVAP leak code. I want to say it's p0451.

just replaced the dpfe and those two ports were just cleaned and the egr valve was also replace not too long ago ... theres a tube going from the manifold to the egr valve thats pretty rusted near the exhaust manifold could that be a reason?

Definitely. If the EGR tube or the DPFE hoses are leaking anywhere the DPFE sensor wont be able to see the EGR flow.

Whoever said a bad gas cap would not throw a P0401 does not know his codes. The EGR circuit involves pulling a vacuum on the gas tank to recirculate gas fumes into the engine, especially at cold startup. If the cap is faulty a vacuum will not be pulled and the P0401 code WILL be thrown. If anyone does not believe this leave your cap off sometime and take a ride.

I'm sorry re54drider but you are very incorrect. The PCM controls the EGR vacuum solenoid which applies the vacuum to the EGR valve to allow exhaust gas from the drivers side exhaust manifold to flow through the EGR valve and into the intake manifold to lower exhaust temperature which reduces NOX gasses.
