Question EFan: Please help with Thermostat Controller

With my 2002 f150 w 4.6V8, I am installing dual 16in fans.
I got the dual controller that plugs into hot and into a thermostat controller that is threaded. The controller is supposed to plug into the cylinder head of the intake manifold.

Can you please help tell me where this get screwed into???

Thanks

Default Thermostat Controller

It currently seems that nobody is quite sure of where this thing gets screwed into to control the temp. It is probably easier than I am aware of but still can't figure out.
I just ended up having to draw power off of fuse box under hood and run a manual switch to cab to control fans.

on my 97 if I'm looking at the motor it has two sensors on the front of the intake on the left side. With the motor warm unhook one and see which one is the temp sensor for the dash. Your guage wont work when it's unhooked. Remove the other one and use it for your probe. I don't know what it's used for but on a mustang it's to turn on the e-fan. Maybe someone here knows what the other one is used for on a truck. If it ever stops raining I check mine to see it there's any hole that is plugrd that can be used for the probe.

Default Addtional Parts

The e-fan wiring kit that I purchased was for a dual fan setup from Jegs.
This kit is setup for wiring to an automatic on/off sensor at 180deg.
I attached it to two16in fans the the after removing stock fan and shroud.
I ended up ordering a separate sensor housing that goes inline with the radiator hose as well to be able to screw in the sensor from this kit (threaded item).

Thumbs up Picts of Radiator Sensor

Here is the sensor after being installed.
It has worked perfectly inline with the radiator. I also added 180 degree mechanical valve leaving the radiator.

I also placed two switches in the cab to shut force shut off the fans but the thermostat works really well. Always shuts off after cooled and runs hard.

I'm not sure how accurate the fans cpm is, but the two together have a higher rating than the factory fan w/clutch assembly.

One thing to mention is that two 16in fans were a bit too big for my 2002 4.6 V8.

As far as wiring, I used fuse taps to plug in "hot" wire (yellow). This way I didn't need to cut into the factory wires.
