Default Edge programmer?!

Hey guys ive searched for this particular info but came up short, I was thinking about getting an Edge Evo CS, but i wanted to make sure its good for the engine and tranny. i only have 55k on my mine and I plan on keeping it a long time, there some things i was hoping it would fix like those stupid short shifts. does it improve shifting and throttle response well?? . but i just want to make sure it's not bad for the engine and tranny and stuff?

-thankyou

Yeah it definitely improves shifting. You can custom set where the shift points are and the shift firmness. I turned my firmness up a bit and the tires bark in 1-2 shift, and thats about half way on the firmness. Throttle response is also a lot better now. I have never heard of it being bad for the engine or tranny but I am sure someone will chime in soon if they know of anything

No it is not bad for the engine unless you run a tune with the wrong octane and get pinging. For the tranny it's actually better to have firmer shifts, less slipping is less wear. Now don't go hot rodding around with the shift firmness +20, that's when people think the programmer fried the tranny. Throttle and overall power will be much better also.

Comes with a user manual that explains everything. If you ever want to do any mods beyond a tuner, you may want to get a Gryphon. Here are the canned tunes the Edge comes with: Level 1: tranny only, Level 2: Towing 87 octane, Level 3: Performance 93 octane.
