Default Edge Programer Problems

Has anybody had problems with the Edge Evolution Programmer draining the battery in your truck after it sits for awhile? After my truck sits for a week without being started the battery ends up dead. I’m not sure if the programmer maybe draws a little power to keep records of programs or anything like that.

The only reason why I ask is because it never used to do it until I put in the programmer.

It could be just the cold weather.

It could also just be my battery going out.

Anyway, if anybody has some insight I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
Zach

Yes they will draw power. Not a lot, but may be a combination of that, the cold, and your battery getting weak.

You can simply unplug it like it is. Just turn the key to "on" before you plug it back in. No need to do anything special.

X2

I had the same problem with mine, it would kill the battery after about a week. I unplugged it and have had no issues. The only time I pug it back in is when I'm towing my trailer. Other than that it stays off.
