Default eBay Screw Nerf Bars?

I'm looking at a reasonably priced set of nerf bars for my 01 Screw. Has anyone had experience with any of the eBay sets?
I'm going with the black, and I like the ones with curved ends. Some are powdercoated glossy black, some are hammered black finish, and some are matte black finish.
The truck doesn't do any heavy off-roading or anything. I'm needing them mainly because I have 3 kids and a short wife, and it's rough for them to get in the truck due to the height.

Plus, I'm winning the weight loss challenge at work, and the prize money is mine to spend on whatever I want.

Links for the ones I'm interested in:

I just installed a set on my boss's truck, I was not impressed
Do your self a favor and call your local Ford dealer, I just ordered a set for my SCREW for under $400 for the factory nerf bars

Good Luck

I'd love to, but there's no way I can justify dropping that much on them. That's why I was looking at the cheaper ones. I basically need them to support up to 250 pounds, mount with no major modifications, and last 4 or 5 years until my youngest is tall enough to climb into the truck without falling out onto his rump.
Would they satisfy those scenarios?

yes they will work and look good doing it, I just do not like the way most of the aftermarket mount to the truck,I do not like drilling holes into the rocker area that is all

So I should look for some that use the factory holes, correct? I didn't know you had to drill for some of them. Good to know!

not sure if you bought any yet, I just installed these on my 03 Supercrew

I MADE A OFFER OF $260 and he accepted it not bad for a factory set of FX4 steps
the only mods i had to do was drill a couple holes in the brackets and a new set of holes for the front brackets to mount to the truck but overall look and fit like they should

Good Luck Ron

My brother in laws dad had a set like the ones on eBay. I really like them because they aren't as bulky and hang as low as my ford ones. One thing though, I say get chrome or stainless not black. All the black ones I've seen rust out after a cooper years.

Default I like ebay

I am purchasing a set of the stainless nerfs for my 01 Screw. I bought a set from same seller for friends truck and they where amazing. He has had for 2 years and still look perfect. They also use factory holes so no drilling or cutting. There is lots of crap on ebay but lots of gold too! Just do your research and ask sellers lots of questions.

Here are the ones I am looking at
