So, I am wanting to put an E-Locker on my 2wd 2003 f150 XL. I live down a stretch of gravel/dirt road that lasts a few miles, and it gets very muddy at times. I also would like to do some minor off-roading (nothing too stupid or for recreation, I just want to get to a few fishing holes or hunting spots).

Anyway, what is the best brand of selectable locker I can get without spending an arm and a leg? Is there one in the $600-800 range? It needs to handle well on pavement, because this is my daily driver.

Also, my dad has a paint/body/mechanic shop. He said if it doesn't take any special tools, some they can install it and it wouldn't cost me much money. If it takes special equipment or tools, how much would it cost to install at a different shop?

 

Not that i've seen... plan to spend 900ish for a selectable. Dd with an auto locker isn't bad like most make it out to be.

 

Anyone else have any information as to how much an elocker costs to be installed?
