Default E-fan???

Wanting to pull a little more power out of my 4.6 going to do the e-fans but what size would be the best to go with? I am going to be looking into UDP's and a tuner with a possible regear to finish everything off.

Get the flex-a-lite fan for our model truck, its a direct fit and and its a dual fan too, cost about $500 but your gonna free up a couple mpg and some good torque. Dont get udp's, your only gonna get about a xtra 7hp and 7lbs torque which is cool but they slow down your alternator and water pump which isnt a good thing especially if your gonna have an electric fan too cuz youll need a biig alternator to keep up with all the electric stuff. If you have enough money get the gryphon programmer but wait till after you change gears and do all your other mods because php(makers of gryphon) will have you send an email too them with absolutly EVERYTHING youve done to your truck good and bad and then thats how they custom tune the edge programmer to the gryphon to match your truck for best/most hp and torque gains.

If you don't have the $500 bucks for the Flex A Lite, then you can research the Mark VII/Taurus efan set ups that have writeups on here. I have that myself, and only have about $85 in mine. Depends on what design of controller you want to use. I used a dual speed controller with threaded sender. You can also go with a radiator fin probe type setup. You have a couple different options that way.

I would of gone with the flex a lite set up, but couldn't justify the difference in price, from a factory designed fan, using an aftermarket controller and theirs. I didn't do the write up, but there is a really decent, step by step on here somewhere. It's there and worth the look. Good luck
