Default help e-brake trouble

Hey guys so I recently became aware of an issue with my e-brake, I've been away at college, it might be a simple fix or it might not idk, but heres what's happening: the pedal itself will fall to floor if you lift up the release tab, the light comes on for it (not the issue) then in order to release it fully you have to push it back up. It used to help itself back up or and pressing the pedal would feel like you're actually applying the brake, now it just flops down and has no resistance. Idk if a spring broke, came off, or a cable got unhooked somehow but thats what's going on. If anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate it, and yes I did search but couldn't find anything. I can also post up pictures of the assembly if that would help anyone just let me know. I'm leaving for a trip with the truck on Tuesday and would like to try to get it fixed by then and so any quick help would be really helpful. Thanks

It sounds like the cable has come loose either at the pedal or has broken somewhere. There's not much else we can do until you do a visual inspection.

sounds to me like the spring that pushes the pedal back has either broken and has shifted and has unrolled itself. either looks like you might need a new pedal.

Ok so about to sound like an idiot but after a visual inspection in daylight, I found that the ebrake cable snapped where it connects to the mount on the rear. So there was no resistance on the cable because it wasn't pulling on anything. Anyone know how much it is for a new cable, how hard of an install, and are there any reasons why it's bad to drive it like this other than the fact there is no ebrake?

$25 for the front cable... shouldn't be too bad. It won't cause any issues except (like you said) no e-brake

From what I understand there are three cables. Does anyone have a part number for them? Or is there just a front with a rear, and the rear goes to both rear tires?

I saw three cables, 1 from the cab which connects to 1 from driver side rear and 1 from passenger side rear. My passenger side cable is the one that broke for me
